The day after I finished my college finals I left flat and humid Florida for the mountainous and freezing California. Yep-California! I visited with my good friend, Holly, her sister, and brother in-law in La Verne. Also, I had the chance to spend a day with another good friend, Hansong. The plus side of having good friends move away is I have a reason to fly across the country, haha. I can't express how much this trip meant to me. God knows my heart's desire and He is so faithful! You would think that it's sad and heartbreaking to have good people removed from your life (And it really is) , but God has a plan! He made a way for me to make this trip, so I took it. By the way, I had a lot of "firsts" during this trip. This is my first time flying alone, FLYING TO CALIFORNIA ALONE, meeting Holly's brother-in law, wine tasting, riding horses with my best friend near the mountains, eating In&Out, etc….it was a pretty awesome time. I'm so thankful for Holly, Christa, Nick and Hansong! Now I'm back in flat and humid Florida, but I'm not totally disappointed. I'm excited for what God has planned for me next. It's probably to write follow up e-mails to clients and get back to work, haha. Anyways, I'll leave you with this…keep an open heart and mind because God's plan is so much bigger than you would ever imagine.
I have the great pleasure to annouce Sara and James are finally married! I photographed their engagement session over summer and the entire process working together has been wonderful. Sara, James, and I attend the same church together, so photographing their wedding is a very special honor to me. Pretty neat to have the opportunity to work with my church family! Also, a big thanks to Antoine Ashley for assisting me, Pastor Dee for keeping the schedule running smoothly, and both to the Cameron and Carey families.

I'm kinda diggin' the interview thing. What a blessing to have this recognition!
Sonny & Michelle got married at the Estate on the Halifax located in Port Orange on August 16. The venue is a lovely a place to host a wedding, because of the beautiful location and excellent staff. Katie Hunt and her team kept the wedding running very smoothly! My assistant, Nadia held the off-camera flash and she also photographed from the balcony during the ceremony. I'm sure every photographer experiences one of the "Aha" moments when they shoot a great image. The sparkler exit photo turned out to be one of my favorites from the wedding. The image would have been fine without a back light, but it definitely added more quality to the moment. I'm not ashamed to say, Nadia and I gave each other a high-five after we looked at the back of my camera, haha. By the way, the couple is expecting their first child together- a baby girl named Emma! Double congrats to the couple!

Barry and Lori tied the knot inside the lovely historic Garden house at the Leu Garden’s property in Orlando. The couple is so sweet and fun! Lori rocked it out during her bridal portraits with a beautiful smile and sass to go with it. The entire bridal party got a kick out of posing for portraits too.
Most importantly, the wedding truly represented the couple-simple, sweet, modern, and filled with their faith. Several close friends offered their blessing and marriage guidance base on their Christian faith. The love poured out from all the friends and family enriched the ceremony with a special touch. In addition to the blessings, the ceremony shifted into a few minutes of worship and praise for the union of Lori and Barry. During the first kiss, I couldn’t help but giggle seeing Barry’s leg pop up. Too cute!
Just a side note, a Bridesmaid’s made the initiative to compliment how calm and collective I remained while photographing. She continued to tell me she is a wedding photographer too and she understands how chaotic weddings can be at times. Her encouragement definitely lifted my spirit and reconfirmed I’m doing a good job. Michael’s photography team values hard work and dedication. We’ll get the job done right with a smile!
We wish you many blessings in your marriage Lori and Barry! Good luck in the next chapter of your lives!

Here are some photos taken from our recent trip to the Florida Keys and Miami Beach. What a blessing to enjoy great company, beautiful scenery, foods, and drinks. Ha! We stayed at Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort, then Fountaine Bleau in Miami.
Matt and his family lived in Florida until they moved toKansas a few years ago. It made perfect sense to schedule his senior portrait session at his first home-Florida! Watch out world, Matt is a high school senior now! Here are a few images from our senior session.

The lovely couple are planning an outdoor wedding for November , so we decided stick with an outdoorsy-nature vibe for their engagement session. Plus, they share the same love for simplicity and beautiful landscapes. Sara and I scouted a few locations prior and I think this location worked out great.
Sara and James have known each other since childhood(Sara,4 years old and James, 7 ears old). How cute- but even more awesome is giving God the glory! They actually started dating many years later in their 20's. The couple believes God brought them back together after Sara came home from college . "We are passionate about Jesus, and can't wait to serve Him side by side as husband and wife"! I'm blessed to even witness to this love and share a piece of the couple through these photographs. Congrats Sara and James! Can't wait to photograph your wedding.
Also, I can't forget to thank my assistant,Lana who helped me during this shoot. I'm so grateful to have an extra pair of hands to help carry gear. :)
The June Orlando Wedding Magazine is out! These shoots were a lot of fun. Thanks Orlando Wedding Mag!
